Horticultural Tractor Driver/Field Operative – Feltwell -Thetford

Place of work:

You will normally be required to work at Feltwell Farm, Corkway Drove, Hockwold, Thetford, Norfolk, IP26 4JR.

We are one of the UK’s leading growers of wildflower and sedum mats, a business built on our 50 years’ experience in the lawn turf industry. We have a number of exciting opportunities at our Feltwell (Norfolk) farm and are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals with a passion for working outdoors. Our small team are multi-skilled – and able to perform manual work with the same energy and enthusiasm they apply to tractor work. Whilst prior agricultural or horticultural experience is desirable, it is not essential.

Main purpose of horticultural tractor driving role:

We are currently recruiting for a tractor driver to work in the production of our mat products. Prior agricultural experience and tractor driving skills essential in this role but candidates will also be required to perform regular outdoor manual and irrigation work as well:

  • Irrigation work.
  • Land preparation.
  • Assist with all aspects of production – manual and mechanical.
  • Site maintenance when required.

Skills:

Hours:

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week from Monday to Sunday with a 30-minute unpaid break each day. Any additional breaks are also unpaid. Start and finish times to be flexible to meet the demand of the business. You may be required to work additional hours, either when requested to do so by the company or for the proper performance of your duties
